This gallery is a way to highlight the remarkable products of art education in the district. It’s a digital attempt at bringing the work of our student artists at all levels into your home – because art is created for others to take in.
Reece, a student at Table Mound, was recently awarded first place in the 1st-3rd grade category of the American Printing House for the Blind’s APH Insights 2016 art exhibition. Reece created an artwork featuring trees in each season of the year. He and his family traveled to Louisville, Kentucky to receive the award which included a blue ribbon and $100.

The Dubuque Community School District will join school districts across the Midwest in celebrating the third-annual Midwest Menu event on Thursday, Oct. 6. Over 7,000 students in Dubuque and over 500,000 throughout the region will join in the event, which celebrates healthy, regional, and sustainable school meals.
Table Mound School held an open house on September 26, 2016 for students and teachers to share the exciting learning that is happening in classrooms. The open house was followed by the PTC Family Picnic. Fun was had by all!

At this kickoff, several teachers and Principal Hull volunteered to play one of the games being sold through the fundraiser, a jelly bean tasting game. Flavors included marshmallow, toothpaste, grass, rotten eggs, sour milk, and more. Can you tell from the expressions whether they chose a good-tasting jelly bean or one that was not as pleasant tasting?
At its July meeting, the Dubuque Community School District Board of Education approved the appointment of Matthew Hull as the new principal of Table Mound Elementary School beginning in the 2016-2017 school year. Hull is currently the instructional coach at Fulton Elementary School, a role he has held since 2009.
As principal of Table Mound, Hull will be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day operations of the school, which serves approximately 420 students and almost 60 professional and support staff.
