2015-2016 Table Mound “Send-Off”

It has long been tradition at Table Mound Elementary for staff to send students off for the summer at the end of a school year. Smiles and tears, along with good wishes for summer, are exchanged between students and staff.

 

 

 

PBIS Bingo

Friday afternoon brought a BINGO game celebration of our year of learning using PBIS (Positive Behavior Instruction Supports). All year, we learned about and practiced: Be Safe, Be Resposible, and Be Respectful.

2016 Butterfly Gardens

Students and teachers of 4th Grade helped give the butterfly gardens a new look by weeding, pulling out old, overgrown plants, and replacing with new plants and mulch donated by Miller Logging. The gardens also received two birdhouses built, donated, and installed by Bruce Novak, assisted by his 4th grade grandson, Jarrett.

Hat Day!

On March 1, 2016, Table Mound students and staff shared their love of reading by bringing quarters to school for the book fair Coin for the Day Challenge and wearing their favorite hats!

 

Celebrating 100th Day

Kindergarten and 1st Grade students celebrate 100 days of school with various activities: creating a miniature gumball machine with 100 gumballs and a necklace with 100 pieces of fruity cereal, using a 100 chart, manipulating 100 objects, and stacking 100 cups.

 

Table Mound Mock Convention

The Table Mound Mock Convention was held on December 16th and 17th, 2015. Check out some of the photos from this wonderful learning experience!

 

Ms. Herber’s Kindergarten Class Communicates with California Class

Ms. Herber’s Kindergarten class Skyped Ms. Holm’s 1st grade class in California. Students at Table Mound were able to learn about California for the Mock Convention and students in California were able to learn about Iowa.
